Review Post | New Kids on the Block – PlushBirds *

Hey Peeps!

I always get a little warm feeling inside when I find a new brand who stock plus size clothing, as well you know, and it was no different when I stubbled across PlushBirds stocking sizes 16-32!!!!  I checked out their Facebook page immediately and very much liked what I saw.

Because I want these smaller businesses who support the Fatty Brigade to do well, I am all up for  trying to help them promote their business to ensure they get as much business as possible and, therefore, are around for the long haul…. I see all too often these businesses struggling and not being able to continue, which brings us straight back to square one and being limited to the usual suspects.  With this in mind, I contacted the lovely Natalie to introduce myself and see if there was anything I could do as a blogger to help her get people talking about her business.  She was all up for this, and kindly offered to send me something to start with for review.  I had no idea what she was going to send me, it was like Christmas in September…. Heehee!

I frantically ripped the packaging off like a small child after the big man has paid his annual visit; my initial thoughts were, WOW, she must have checked me out on Social Media as she got it spot on…. Frock, and, with a vintage feel to it with the gorgeous floral pattern.  I checked out the label, and was then a little bit more concerned…. I had given Natalie my usual size of 24, but this label said “One Size 16+”, was this really going to fit???  Well, what do you think???  If you follow me on Social Media who will have had a sneak preview of this already….

The quality of this dress is really lovely, not too thick but not too thin, an ideal Autumn wardrobe item if ever I saw one, and will be teamed up with thick tights and cardi’s through the winter I am sure.   The only thing I would be concerned about if I weren’t me is the length on this…. I am 4ft 10ins as you know, and this is perfect on me, but if I was much taller it may be a little short, but the ideal solution there would be LEGGINGS!!!!

PlushBirds also have a shop, albeit a little bit of a trek for me in Walkden, but I am hoping to get there at some point to check them out, and no doubt I will turn that into a little old blog post and share with you lovely lot.  At the moment the website is under construction, but make sure you like their FB page as all stock is shared there, and drop them a message with what you would like to order and they will advise you on how to go about it.

Anyhoo, to cut a long story short, a) I love the fact PlushBirds cater for up to a size 32 and, b) I love the clothes, quality and the prices they offer…  I will most definitely be placing a few orders with them in the not too distant future.

Have you checked out PlushBirds yet, and if not why not???  Make sure you do, I am pretty sure you won’t regret it!

  1. This look absolutely fantastic on you (those colours) but I would be concerned over length on me! If only place would do plus size and tall … but perhaps I’m asking for too much there!
