It’s day four of the Yours Clothing #99pDressChallenge created by the Amazing Debz over at I’m a Wannabe Princess. You can find out more about how this challenge came about from her here. Day one was all about the purple dress, and you can see my post here; day two was all about the Black & Ivory Chiffon dress, see my post here; I missed day three, it was all about the black embellished bodycon, but check out the other ladies taking part to find out about that one, and today is all about the red & black one!
Again, this dress cost 99p, and it was actually bought for me by my lovely friend Sam as part of my 40th Birthday gift (have I told you I’m turning 40 in June????). This dress was originally £35.00 and the quality in my opinion on this one is amazing! We, again, went with the 24 to be on the safe side, as before we could only get the one dress. Although I was worried that it would be a bit snug, as I have found this with the bodycon style in the past, this is okay, although I do feel like I need to invest in a pair of new shapewear “Hold it all in Girl!” pants. The material is a very thick quality stretch jersey/scuba-esk with heavy beaded embellishment to the front, and mesh over the shoulders (apologies for the bra straps).
I’m wearing the dress here with leggings, and I think this will be preferred for all future outtings for this dress. I also have a black waterfall jacket from New Look Inspire range from approximatley 2 years ago which I am planning to wear with this dress in the future…. Watch this space for a pic as I am sure one will appear somewhere in the future.
I am afraid that I can’t see this one on the website any more, so if you like it and missed out on it before, your best bet is to keep an eye out on Ebay…. Sorry 🙁
Day five, and the final day, of the #99pDressChallenge is tomorrow and it features the Polka Dot one! Unfortunately I was not lucky enough to get myself one of these, not a bad thing as I think I have enough spots in my wardrobe to last me a while, so be sure to check out the Ladies posts to see their thoughts.
Did you manage to get yourself a 99p Dress, and what did you think?
