Today I want to talk to you about Taking Shape and remind you, now that they have been in the UK just over a year, what they have to offer! I have lots to fit into the post, and I apologise if it all becomes a little overwhelming…. I was tempted to split it into two parts, but I will just see how it goes!
Firstly, I was recently contacted by their PR representative, and very kindly offered the opportunity to review something from their current range. I put a few options together, one of which was from their Glitzmas range, featuring lots of gorgeous sparkly little numbers for the up and coming Party Season, the *Shimmy Dress!
This dress is a real eyecatcher, as it says on the website, this dress is all about glamour and sparkle! I’m wearing the 22 here, and it is a spot on fit…. The semi fitted style flatters my curves and definitely shows them off at their best, well that is what I think anyway!
I was sent some shape wear, yes Taking Shape offer shape wear now too, and another dress to review also, but due to having to exchange for different sizes, watch out for these reviews at a later date…. you won’t be disappointed!
Whilst I was waiting for my review items to arrive, I was then contacted by my local store to remind me that I had not been in lately to take them up on one of their free styling sessions. Were you aware of their styling sessions, as well as styling parties? These are ideal, especially this time of year, when you have that big office party looming and you just don’t know what frock to buy…. try them all, see which one you like the best, and there is never any obligation to buy a thing! Check online or in your local store for details.
Erika, the manager at Peterborough, is amazing and due to time constraints on my part, she even kindly stayed late so we had a good old Chin-wag whilst I played big girl dress up! We started off with Party Wear Glam, and moved into Winter Casual, and here is what I tried…..
I want to just say that with Magic Maze, I probably would not have chosen it from seeing it on the hanger, but as I’ve said before with TS, it pays to try things you wouldn’t necessarily go for at first look as they can end up being the most amazing item of clothing you’ve ever seen! Loved this!
Here is the Geo Poncho, it can be worn two ways, how fab does this look! And again, I really wasn’t sure, but it looks pretty cool, what say you? Neck becomes waistband, arms get tucked in to give that definitive TS shape!
And finally, because I didn’t think my lovely converse-style pumps would really look the part, I tried these fab little ankle boots which felt like I was wearing a pair of slippers the whole time I was there!
Throughout my time at TS I am either wearing the Gabriella Slim Trouser (you can see a close up of the flocked pattern on these in the pic above), which incidentally I may have purchased whilst there, or the Integra Full Length Legging.
Sizes worn throughout this session range from L(22)-XL(24).
Erika very kindly sent me away with some items from their gift range, yes, they have a gifts too! These candles and diffuser smell DELISH!
If any thing here has caught your eye, or you you’ve seen something else online, you can bag yourself 25% off until Wednesday 10th December by quoting TAKFF25 at the checkout!
If you are a local, and happen to be in Peterborough on the 20th December catching up on some last minute chrimbo shopping, be sure to drop in and say Hi to Erika and her team, she has an in-store event planned with nail bar, hair & make up for everyone!
Again, big apologies for the MAMMOTH post, I did warn you there was lots to tell you, but this ever growing brand has so much to offer, and just keeps bringing more to the table….. There could be a swimwear review in the New Year, now who doesn’t want to see me in my Speedos!
