‘We will be posting on the 7th of each month, and the aim of the challenge is to create an outfit to fit the theme, using clothes from our wardrobes, and yes that does mean digging deep into the depths and finding those long lost clothes! Hopefully one of us won’t end up in Narnia, but you never know with a bloggers wardrobe!’
It is that time of the month again, and this month the challenge is to put together an outfit around your favourite accessory. I have so many favourites when it comes to accessories, to me the accessories can make an outfit. One month I may favour my neck scarves….. reminds me, must give them an airing soon…. the next month it could be a necklace, but more often than not, you may have noticed, I am a sucker for head wear!
You will have seen I went to a vintage fair at the weekend, Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair, as it just so happened to be in Norwich and I was visiting my friend close by… Would have been rude not to drop in now wouldn’t it? And there it was, this amazing piece of head wear that just winked, waved, called my name, all the usual things that items of apparel do to me to grab my attention! I knew that if I walked away and left it I would have kicked myself to within an inch of my life, so I crossed the lovely man’s palm with silver, well, plastic and the hat became mine. I also got this amazing dress, which having done a little bit of research since getting back I believe is a 1970’s evening dress. The dress actually states it is a size 18, so I never thought in a million years it would fit, but how wrong was I, it was made for this short fat bird if ever a dress was! Teamed with yet another one of my current faves, my Jane Shilton bag I found in a local charity shop my vintage look was complete!
Hat – Tilly’s North Wing at Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair
Dress – Trina Lewis & Marjon Courtour at Bakers Sportswear London W1 from Tilly’s North Wing at Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair
Handbag – Jane Shilton Real Leather Patent
from Cancer Research Charity Shop
Necklace – Old
Shoes – Ex Dorothy Perkins via eBay
Now, normally nobody bats an eyelid when I dress up for work, but I think that maybe I pushed those boundaries a little bit today as I did get told by my lovely boss at one point I looked like a twat, and a couple of others asked if I was going to a funeral…. I must add these people were all men…. but, I did not care, I felt bloody amazing!!!!
So, apologies I couldn’t stick to just one accessory, it is clearly the undecided Gemini in me, but I hope you forgive me.
What is your favourite accessory?

It’s okay, comes with working in a male environment for the last 16 yrs, and having known my boss that whole time, he’s a real nice chap really, honest. I never let it phase me, and normally they don’t bat an eye… They know I’m a bit out there, but today I think I was just a bit too out there for them…. Haha! I don’t care, and thank you sweet xxx
