Shop Your Stash #2

Welcome to the Shop Your Stash Challenge. This is all about finding a gem in what you already own and creating a blog post on it. This is to let go a little of the stress that comes with being a blogger – even if it is just once a month. Rummage through your beauty products and climb through those clothes draws. You might surprise yourself!

This is month two of this fab challenge that Hollie of Pretty Big Butterflies came up with, you can find my first post here, but basically, as the intro above says, it is all about digging around what we already have in our wardrobe, amongst our beauty products, reviewing something different like a book, restaurant, film, recipe….

This month I have delved into my make-up bag, and I am going to share with you my must have foundation by Anthony Braden.  I found Anthony Braden about 2-3yrs ago now.  I was fed up spending a fortune on high street brand foundation and just not being able to find the right shade, consistency etc.  At the time I was working next door to a small privately run beauty salon, and I decided to stop by and ask for a shade match…. The salon in question used Anthony Braden products, and matched me to the Liquid Mineral Foundation in Beige.  I decided there and then to give it a shot, and at a reasonable £19.50 (the last high street brand I bought was £12.00, used once and given away!), I’ve never looked back!  A couple of times in the last 2-3 years when I have run out, I have tried to find a high street alternative as I now work elsewhere so have to buy on line and pay postage, but it has ended up being an epic fail every time.

I find the foundation goes on smoothly, blends well and gives good coverage for the whole of the day!  I find a bottle lasts me between 3-6 months depending on how much I use it, we all have CBA days at times where the face doesn’t go on, so if we have more of these in a month then the bottle obviously lasts longer…. You don’t have to use a powder over it, but I usually just give a dusting.  I have used one from AB before, but I am not sure it is online anymore, and I am currently using a loose mineral powder from Avon ….. If you follow me on the numerous social media platforms I hang out at, and in particular Instagram, you will have seen numerous selfies, and I won’t bore you with anymore now, so you’ll already have a good idea of how my make up looks on a daily basis and it is all with the help of my ever faithful AB foundation!

Since finding this product I am lost without it, when I start to run low I go into panic mode and get palpitations as I cannot bear to be without it, it was a life saver finding it.
