Here’s What I Would Have Spent ft ASOS Petite Range

Hey Poppets!

It’s that time again when we tell a brand what we would have spent with them if they stocked items in our size!  This time it is the turn of ASOS main range.  ASOS is probably one of the favourites amongst the Plus Size Community, offering not only their own range but other brands also.  I haven’t bought loads from them, but what I have seen by way of comments by others, their customer service is second to none, and primarily they can do little wrong!

What I’ve actually decided to do is head to their petite range, because I know it’s hard to believe, but there are short fat chicks out there too, and I am definitely proof at a mere 4ft10ins!  It seems they stop, like many petite ranges, at a size 16, which gripes me tremendously as there are so many different shapes and sizes in the world, why is it automatically assumed that you can’t be short and fat…. huh, huh?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

So ASOS, here is what I would have bought from your petite range if you catered for the short size 24 girl…..

ASOS PETITE Midi Dress in Poppy Print with Full Skirt – £50.00

A midi, which if in a petite and my size would be a midi and not actually a maxi!

ASOS PETITE Peplum Plunge Maxi Dress – £45.00

A maxi, which if in a petite and my size wouldn’t need a foot being cut off the bottom! This would be a fab dress for the up and coming beauty pageant I’m a finalist in!

ASOS PETITE Skater Duffle Coat with Skirt Detail – £75.00

A coat where if available in my size you would see my hands as the sleeves wouldn’t be too long and I would be able to reach the pockets and they wouldn’t be somewhere near my knees!

ASOS PETITE Exclusive Jumpsuit with Crop Slim Leg – £40.00

And finally, a crop leg which wouldn’t end up round my ankles! As a rule I buy crop legged trousers to be the right length!

Total spend this time would have been £210.00, so that’s £210.00 of this short fat chick’s money ASOS won’t be getting anytime soon.

Thanks again to Debz for coming up with this ongoing challenge, and make sure you take a look at the other lovely ladies taking part!

I’m now going to take myself off and dream of the day when there are a lot more petite ranges catering for the fatties….. Tatty-bye!

  1. This is such a good idea!
I have the opposite problem as I’m 6 foot 2 and most dresses and skirts are way too short on me.
That peplum dress is amazing! Aren’t they fools!
Good luck at the pageant :)
