Blog Every Day in June – Day 1 – Behind Your Blog Name

I have seen a few of these challenges in the past, and often considered setting myself similar challenges but other than the odd Instagram Pic-a-Day for a month I have yet to start one and finish it! So, when Lisa suggested this challenge, I thought lets give it another go……

The general idea is, if you hadn’t already worked it out, is to blog every day in June (later to be known as BEDJ), and so we are not all running around like headless chickens wondering what to blog about, the lovely Lisa has put some ideas down, and number one is the story behind our blog name.

There is nothing exciting about mine, unlike some I have already been reading. I had been inspired by the plus size blogs I had found and been reading and decided to give it a go myself, some 18 months later here we still are! I wanted the blog to be a plus size related blog, so that clearly featured….. Plus Size…… I wanted it to be a positive place where I could start, continue and hopefully complete, my journey to size/self acceptance, body positivity and confidence, so that’s were the Proud then came in…. I wanted to be plus size and proud of the fact, not ashamed, not wanting to hide anymore….. Plus Size AND Proud!

So that’s it in a nutshell really, no big story behind it, short, to the point, and I came up with it within minutes…. Ha!
